“What’s going on with CF?” possibly up to three people are wondering. CF is still going to happen; the project just had to be put on ice for a while.
Actually, the original plan was to have it ready to go right after Re:Generator ended, then mid-to-late summer, then fall, but was continually pushed back, when, in quick succession, 1) Robert totaled his car and had to deal with his insurance company, only to be left without a car, 2) he lost his job and his ex-employers contested his unemployment benefits, leading to a mad month-long dash to find a new one, 3) his LTR ended, and since he was cohabitating, he had to 4) find a new place, pack and move. With that out of the way, Constellation Fang can proceed as (un)scheduled. Consider this the thawing out period…

10.Darvaza Gas Crater – The Door to Hell
Derweze is a Turkmenistan village of about 350 inhabitants, located in the middle of the Karakum desert, about 260 km north from Ashgabat. The Derweze area is rich in natural gas. In 1971 a Soviet drilling rig accidentally punched into a massive underground natural gas cavern, causing the ground to collapse and the entire drilling rig to fall in. Darvaza Gas Crater or the “Door to Hell” named by a localist is a 328 feet wide hole. This hole has been on fire, continuously, for the last 38 years.

“This image was taken in winter time in a arid area of the Canadian Rockies. Temperatures where below -30 degrees Celsius yet because there was no snow fall the surface of the lake was uncovered allowing me to see and capture the bubbles (gas release from lake bed) that were trapped in the frozen waters.”
